GATHERING GROUND REPORT - FEBRUARY 8, 2023

Chet, Norm, Bill and Jerry shared a table and conversation as well as a great breakfast served at the Gathering Ground in Windsor locks.
Talk turned to many topics with all comparing how many bundles of shingles they were able to carry up the ladder to shingle the roof that was in need of refreshing. One bundle was the max anyone present at the table would dare boast about, as one was only the first in a large pile that needed to be raised to the rooftop. Several more were to follow for the day.
Bill somehow missed his start on New Year resolution and is still not at his fighting weight for the spring. He states he'll start right after his next ski trip out west.
Norm began a conversation about how he recently backed into a car that happened to be parked behind his garage space. It usually was not there so on this backup, without a good check, his car met with the bumper of the parked car.
We all recounted (confessed) that within the past few year all had experience a similar encounter with another non animated object.
Chet, while stationed in Taiwan, got to see the inauguration of the current President, Chiang Kai-shek. The leader of Taiwan that started the relations with US, that began this countries climb to prosperity.

The week after the February 8 gathering, Jerry and Bill flew out to Heavenly Valley in California for a week of skiing. Here are a couple of pictures from that outing:
